You can have your Belfry account permanently deleted at any time, for any reason, without explaining why. This page works whether or not you still have the app installed.
Email support@belfry.tv from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. Sending from the account’s own email address is how we confirm the request is really yours — if you no longer have access to it, write from any address and we’ll work out another way to verify you.
We action deletion requests within 7 days, usually much sooner, and email you when it’s done. Deletion is handled by a person today; a self-serve button is being built.
All of it. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone — there is no recovery window and no archived copy we can restore from:
Records we are legally required to retain — chiefly payment and tax records for any purchase you made, which our payment processor holds and which tax law requires be kept. These are billing records, not your viewing data. Nothing that describes what you watched survives deletion.
You don’t have to close your account to remove things. In Belfry you can already stop following any show, unmark episodes you’d rather not have recorded, delete your own comments, and unlink any TV at any time — all of it takes effect immediately.
For anything broader — clearing your entire watch history, wiping your ratings, removing your phone number — email support@belfry.tv and say what you want gone. Same 7-day commitment, and your account stays exactly where it is.
You can export everything you’ve tracked before you go — ask in the same email and we’ll send your data first, so a move to another tracker doesn’t cost you your history. Belfry exists because a service shut down and took people’s watch history with it; we’re not going to be that.
